Pilot Episode - Epigraphs

Welcome to the Juras-Sick Park-Cast podcast, the Jurassic Park podcast about Michael Crichton's 1990 novel Jurassic Park, and also not about that, too.

The Epigraphs

I found a 1994 drawing of the T. rex that I made with the movie on pause! 

Corrections!

I mentioned that Microceratus had its named changed – but that’s not the only dinosaur that’s had its named changed since the book came out. Although its name hasn’t changed in subsequent printings of the novel, the Velociraptor antirrhopus has been changed to Deinonychus antirrhopus. Velociraptor mongoliensis and Deinonychus antirrhopus are separated by tens of millions of years and are found on entirely different continents – they are not the same species.

·        I said that I believed the books dedication was to A-M and T, I said they might be Crichton’s children from his first marriage – which was almost entirely incorrect. A-M is probably Anne Marie Martin, his third wife, and active wife at the time, and T was likely his daughter Taylor who would have been newborn in 1989. My apologies.
